We are currently recruiting for a Crew Chief to work within our successful team leading on some of our rental jobs. You will load vehicles, travel to site, build and dismantle our Stunning tents and interiors, and carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks at the warehouse, as well as other duties.
Crew Chief for the Stunning Tents, Ten by Fifteen Structures and the Sail Tent Company in 2017 and beyond! Inspired by the desire to be different, we hire and sell a range of unusual tents and furnishings, working for some of the UK’s biggest events companies and most exclusive private parties.
We are currently looking for Crew Chiefs to lead our core crew team in delivering events to clients across the country.
You will be required to:
- Load vehicles
- Drive to site
- Communicate and manage expectations with both event organisers and private clients.
- Receive and organise external vendors.
- Manage, train and inspire our seasonal crew members.
- Build and dismantle our stunning tents and interiors.
- Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks at the warehouse.
This is an unusual, physical and inspiring job – setting up, dismantling, and maintaining our Tents at festivals, weddings, private parties and corporate events. We work hard, take great pride in what we achieve and have an excellent reputation for customer service. Most of the time we work in beautiful parts of the countryside, and there’s great job satisfaction to be had creating a stunning structure on a bare patch of lawn.

Since we started out in 2007, we have always done our utmost to behave ethically, deliver a professional service and minimise our impact on the environment. But as we’ve grown we’ve found it useful to adopt certain published standards, to give us a framework for continuous improvement in these areas.
So now we are working towards ISO20121, the standard for sustainability in events. And towards ISO9001 – the world’s most established quality.

About UsDamage Waiver
Standard arrangements when hiring any form of equipment is that the client is fully responsible for all loss or damage. With the value of our equipment on most jobs extending to many tens of thousands of pounds so it’s of course important that the equipment is properly insured.
Clients are welcome to arrange their own insurance but it is not always easy or cost effective for you to do so. In these cases we can offer a Damage Waiver in which is calculated at 3% of the equipment hire charge. Depending on the site (for example if the site is accessible by the public) we may require special security arrangements to be in place.
The Damage Waiver means that The Stunning Tents Company takes the risk of loss or damage to the equipment whilst it is in the client’s care, except that the client remains responsible for:
- The first £500 of any loss or damage
- Any loss or damage caused by the client’s negligence or legal liability
- Any loss or damage caused by the client’s failure to adhere to any special security arrangements that have been agreed.
