Flooring & Staging
Flooring
We can floor your tent in a number of ways.
Matting is the most popular option for flooring.
We use DandyDura® laid on a damp proof membrane, in Natural Fleck colour that matches well with the tent canvas. This matting has distinct
advantages over the more common coconut matting as it can be pressure washed after each hire, and it is highly resistant to rot, stains and smells.
Where a firmer surface is needed under the matting, we lay an interlocking black plastic floor (GridMat) and lay the matting,
or indeed carpet, on top. When laying carpet we prefer to use a recyclable carpet to reduce needless landfill waste being generated.
GridMat flooring can be used in its own right with no covering; as walkway up to the tent entrance; outside the front of the tents
for a reception area; or even as a dancefloor in its own right.
Of course, it is possible to dispense with flooring altogether if the site allows. This works well during the summer on
well kept lawns, or in woodland settings where a very natural look is the aim.
Staging and dance floors
Staging is available in 8’x4’ sections to make up to the size required. It is 1’ high with black drapes around the edges.
Dancefloor is available in a variety of sizes starting at 12’ x 12’ (dances about 50 people) and going up in 2’ increments.
