The basic design of the yurt has changed little over hundreds if not thousands of years, because it is so close to perfection. They are handsome, sturdy and practical and create a truly uplifting space.
Lower the "roof cap" at night and fall asleep under the stars - a magical experience. In hot weather, drop the canvas sides and allow the breeze to drift through the beautiful ash lattice-work structure of the walls.
The Yurt originates from Central Asia, the traditional home of the nomads from Kyrgyzstan to Mongolia. We have yurts based on the Kyrgyz and Mongolian designs with solid ash frames and canvas covers. Two sizes are available (16'/4.9m and 24'/7.3m) and with their vertical walls and excellent headroom there is plenty of room to stand up. The larger Yurt has an optional crimson roof liner which totally tranforms the interior ambience. The smaller Yurt can seat 15 people on cushions and rugs, whilst the larger one can seat 40 at tables.
The Yurt comes complete with a heavy duty groundsheet.
